At John Edmondson High School, school uniform is compulsory.

The general tone of the school and the regard with which the school is held in the community is often attributed to the standard of and compliance with the established school uniform. School Uniform Code.

Community Network made up of parents, community representatives, Primary partner schools, and the Principal and executives of John Edmondson High School collaborated on the school colours and school uniform to be worn by students. It was unanimously agreed that John Edmondson High School would have a formal style of uniform that reflected the pride and commitment of the community to its new school. Subsequent P&C meetings endorsed the decisions of the Community Network and decided that there would be a clearly defined summer and winter uniform, sports uniform and that a school bag would also become a part of the uniform policy. The uniform is supplied to the school community by the uniform store located within the school and is appointed by tender. We are very proud of the school crest that depicts the Victoria Cross won by John Edmondson at Tobruk during World War 2. The crest was designed by Mr Leo Castro, a parent, who generously gave of his time and expertise. The school motto is also shown on the crest – Virtus et Integritas, the English translation of the Latin being - Courage and Integrity.
