School events bring learning to life and help shape our school culture. They help students build confidence, connect with others and celebrate their progress.
Our school events include a school orientation tour, sporting and academic award assemblies and graduation. Sporting carnivals, gala days and staff student games. Harmony, World's Greatest Shave and Do it for Dolly days along with Pop Idol and MADD Night events give families a chance to be involved in school life and share in their child’s achievements.
Celebrating diversity and inclusiveness
Throughout the year we celebrate Harmony Day, World's Greatest Shave, and Do it for Dolly. We promote cultural diversity, inclusiveness, respect, and belonging for everyone while being aware of and concerned about social issues, injustices, and the well-being of society and the environment.
Celebrating student talent
Pop Idol and MADD Night are firm favourites with the John Ed community. Showcasing talents in performing arts like singing, dancing, and music, as well as production roles while highlighting the talents of the Visual Arts students.
Carnivals, gala days and competition
Improved physical health, enhanced social and emotional well-being. Sporting activities help children stay healthy while also fostering teamwork, self-esteem, and resilience. These events teach valuable lessons in time management, handling adversity, and being a good sport, which contribute to academic success and lifelong healthy habits.
